Cat Bigley is our Mindful Movement Specialist.
Her extensive background allows us to offer a variety of options incorporating healing therapies with breath work and movement.
She teaches the fluid practices of Yoga Tai Chi and Qi Gong, while continuing to embrace new styles of body movement, and adjusts her teaching to accommodate students of all ages, shapes and sizes. Curiosity led her to discover Yoga, Slackline and AcroYoga. It has been a perfect transition, allowing her to explore new styles of movement art that require both strength and grace. Cat has extensive experience in boxing and Martial Arts (she holds a black belt!), providing her with a strong foundation for instructing diverse forms of movement art.
She is a former gold medal winner at the Arnold Classic, and has coached other fighters to significant wins, using her skills to provide her students with the benefits of combative and defensive techniques.
Her classes always focus on a balance of honoring your body and stepping outside your comfort zone. Cat’s unique style evolved into a workshop series, facilitating day and weekend experiences with elements of
- Tai Chi
- Qi Gong
- Self Defense
- Additional movement’s arts including African, Belly and Ballroom
Her programs have been designed with the flexibility to benefit any age group, including toddlers to teens and seniors. Cat incorporates building confidence in others, whether she is training, teaching, or raising her children.
As a mom of five, she appreciates the value of daily self care through yoga and meditation. Her earliest students were primarily active seniors. That experience taught her many techniques to explain and demonstrate unfamiliar concepts, making meditation and gentle movement simple and useful. She is committed to sharing these tools to help others through difficult times in their lives.
