Martha Webster, MT-BC has been a nationally certified music therapist since June 2019. Martha grew up in Belpre, Ohio and attended Muskingum University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Music Education. She was a member of various music groups including Concert Choir, where she served as President for one year. Her senior year she was President of Muskingum’s chapter of Sigma Alpha Lota, the music sorority as well as holding the position of New Member Educator in Theta Phi Alpha for two years. For the past 9 years, she has been teaching music, with two years part time at St. John Central Grade School, two years at Coolville Elementary, and she is in her sixth year at Phillips Elementary in Marietta, Ohio.
Martha received her equivalency certification in music therapy from St. Mary of the Woods College in Indiana and completed her internship at Bridgeway Academy in Columbus, Ohio. During her internship, her focus was working with students with autism and/or developmental disabilities. Martha also has practicum experience in music therapy working with clients in memory care facilities, day centers for adults with disabilities, as well as a summer camp for adolescents with developmental disabilities. She is the founder and owner of HMB Music Therapy, LLC in Marietta, Ohio. Martha also has experience with Kindermusik and enjoys working with young children.
Martha resides in Marietta, Ohio with her son, two cats, and a dog. She is enjoys reading and crafting, as well as being the Director of 4-H camps for Washington County, Ohio. She looks forward to leading a variety of music circles at Mindfulness Holistic Healing & Wellness.
