Green Smoothies can be made from a large variety of whole, raw vegetables, fruit and other ingredients. One of the vegetables or fruit is usually dominant enough to make the color of the smoothie green. The shade of green, which come from chlorophyll, can vary from light to dark depending on ingredients. Smoothies can be drunk from a glass or eaten like a soup. Importantly smoothies contain the fiber-rich pulp and nutrition-rich skins of vegetables and fruit.

This Guide introduces 157 smoothie ingredients. All come with a short nutritional overview. Using this Guide will help with shopping for the right ingredients as well as encouraging creative experimentation.
